Dixie Battery Supply is owned and operated by Matt and Erin Swann. While Matt has been around since its inception, even working full time at 14 years old, the couple more recently bought the business from Matt's father in 2020. Since then, the company has grown to include Dixie Custom Carts, specializing in golf cart retail and repair, as well as Red Elephant Taxi, a golf cart taxi service for Downtown Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama campus. Matt and Erin have been married for 9 years and stay very busy raising their three small children, Truett, Hampton, and Sterling. While they are natives to Tuscaloosa, Matt and Erin are newer to the North River area, but they are looking forward to raising their family in its tight-knit community. You might find them frequenting a local park, at the yacht club pool, or taking tennis lessons.
